About Ms. O'Connor

Hello, everyone!  It is going to be another great year at  Paddock Elementary School!  This is my fourth year as a teacher and my fourth year at Paddock.  I attended Eastern Michigan University and majored in art.  I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2001.  Then, I decided that I wanted to be an art teacher, so I went back to Eastern Michigan University to get my Teaching Certificate.  I graduated with my teaching certificate in 2008.  The picture to the left is me in my Halloween costume- I was the Queen of Color.
I have a husband named John (he is Mr. Zeichman) and a dog named Gertie.  John and I both like to make art and we always visit museums when we go on vacation.   We also like to ride our bikes, take long walks with Gertie and play on our computer.  I am also learning how to play the banjo.
I am looking forward to getting to know all of the new Paddock students and parents as well as seeing last years students become better and better artists.  This website will have information about what we're doing in art class as well as pictures of student art and links to other good art websites.  Let me know if there is anything special you would like to see on this website.
